"Anwesha, even I think Shiv and Ruhi will look good with eachother" Pranita Shekhawat chuckled looking at the girl sitting beside her, whom she had chosen to be her daughter in law.
The girl blushed while on the other hand her mother laughed, slightly throwing her head back.
"Yes, Pranita, talk to Shiv soon so that I can watch Shivaansh and Ruhanika happening" Pranita's husband Rajbir along with Anwesha's husband Viren chuckled at their talks.
The girl, Ruhanika, was blushing looking down, although she had never seen Shivaansh on that light but when her mother and Shivaansh's mother asked about marrying him, his name did something to her.
It filled her with a gittery feeling, something so new, so different.
Everytime someone would talk about him and her cheeks would gain colours, shades of red to be precise.
The room was filled with chuckles and laughters. Suddenly they heard the sound of door bell and a helper ran towards the door to open it.
"Who's it Shanti? Bring them here" Shouted Pranita from the living room, Shanti invited the people inside and lead them towards the living room and left quietly.
"Mom" The voice caught Pranita's attention and she stood up with a smile on her face as she realised that her son was finally back home.
She was about to hug him when her attention was shifted towards a small figure standing beside her son.
She frowned after noticing she was wearing vermillion and a nuptial chain.
She gazed at her son confusingly "Shiv, who is she?" She asked and noticed the girl looking downwards, a sign of nervousness, it confused her more.
"Mom, she is Ishanvi, my wife, Mrs. Ishanvi Shekhawat" He muttered the words nonchalantly, his eyes absolutely calm, he did not look anxious, neither happy nor upset, just a blank look was evident.
The nonchalance behavior of Shivaansh was enough for Ishanvi to feel a lump forming inside her throat. The pain inside her throat was causing her eyes to well up. She casted her gaze downwards and pursed her lips tightly in an attempt of preventing herself from crying.
For a moment Pranita thought her son was going to laugh and admit that he was was joking but it never came.
"What are you saying Shiv, wife? When did you marry? Why we do not have any idea? Here we were talking about your alliance with Ruhanika" Rajbir Shekhawat, Shivaansh's father said in a confused and a slightly raised voice.
After listening to her father in law's words Ishanvi felt her heart beating faster than it was already, her gut twisted in a wrong way, she felt nauseous with the information that her husband's family was thinking about fixing his marriage with someone.
She felt the pain inside her throat worsening as she noticed her in laws' disappointment filled faces.
Were they so disappointed that he married her? Only if they knew this was a forced marriage for her as well.
"I suppose, we should leave, it was nice talking to you Mr. and Mrs. Shekhawat" Viren Kukreja said, the words he used with the calculative tone was an indication for the Shekhawats to know that they were thoroughly displeased by the happening.
Pranita and Rajbir stared at their son and his wife with a disappointed and an angry look showing exactly how displeased they were.
At this point Ishanvi wanted nothing but comfort, she missed her family. Here she was all alone, between the people who were total strangers. The only person she knew hated her and was the cause of all the miseries she was facing and was going to face in the future, he made that clear when he took those vows with her.
After noticing her in laws walking away without a word she knew it was going to be difficult for her to live in that house, with a husband like Shivaansh and the reaction she recieved from her in laws she knew they were not going to be any different.
What was her fault?
